More and more companies and clients are asking us for technical proposals for palletizing without a pallet, due to the rising price of wood and energy and the difficulty of recovering pallets for reuse in many countries. Rometa offers different solutions depending on the country and the client's needs, both for new lines and for modifications to lines already in operation.
How is a pallet-free package designed?
The package can be designed for loading with a fork or with a clamp:
- Fork loading: cavities are left for the fork to enter, on the sides of the package or on the inside.
- Clamp loading: no cavities are needed.
In both cases, vertical strapping will be required or advisable depending on the case.
